This website is devoted to the current 33 F-106 Convair Delta Dart survivors. A lot of my earlier research can be found on PAT'S WORLD. My name is Erville G. Smalley . I'm a retired USAF (1959 - 1979) F-106 Avionics (MA-1) technician and served at Kincheloe AFB MI from 1960 until the 438th FIS moved to Griffiss AFB NY in 1968 to become the 49th FIS. I left Griffiss in Jan 72 for Ubon Thailand and returned to HQ/Air Defense Command (ADC) Colorado Springs CO in May 73 and served on the Logistics Staff (LGMWA) until my retirement as a SMSGT in Sept 79. I lost all contact with my F-106 friends after retirement until I purchased a computer in 1998 and started searching the web for F-106 information. I didn't find much on the web until I ran across Pat's World. With the help of several friends, we teamed up with Pat to gather information for his website. We continued gathering information for Pat's World but in 1999, I started this website of my own. Since then, the following sites have been built: (1) With the help of Joe Sylvia, another website on the early F-106 History at McClellan AFB was created. (2) With the help of Marty Isham, another website on the F-106 Chase Program for the B-1B Bomber was created. (3) Again with the help of Marty Isham, another website to give F-106 FIS assignment history and the Lineage of each F-106 tail number was created. (4) Finally, another website for the Peterson Air and Space Museum Foundation was created. |
