During the first part of April 2000, six of the sevenunflyable QF-106s departed Tyndall AFB, FL, on several flatbed 18 wheelers bound for El Paso, Tx. Having been purchased by a private individual, they are going to be restored. Four of the aircraft are "B" Models; tail numbers being 57-2509, 57-2517, 57-2543, and 57-2545. Two of the aircraft are "A" Models; tail numbers 58-0786 & 59-0047.
